Fondation
Created in 1998, the Association franco-ontarienne des conseils scolaires catholiques (AFOCSC) is a non-profit organization. Serving its members, AFOCSC is the voice of the eight French-language Catholic school boards in Ontario and reinforces the importance of Catholic education to the community and governments by promoting excellence and the development of each student.
Objectives

Support for Member Boards
The association shares information and analysis of proposed legislation, regulations or government actions related to education with its members to facilitate understanding and action on government initiatives.

Representation
AFOCSC monitors government activities, contributes to the decision-making process by actively participating in ministerial consultations and committees, liaises with provincial and federal political parties and responds publicly to issues affecting French-language Catholic education in Ontario.

Partnerships
AFOCSC develops and maintains close ties with its partners in Catholic education as well as with its partners in French-language education at the regional, provincial and national levels. It also actively participates in networking and support activities for the Franco-Ontarian community.

Catholicity
AFOCSC supports the coordination of Catholic Week activities in French-language Catholic schools and develops partnerships in collaboration with the Table des partenaires en éducation catholique en Ontario and its English-language counterpart the Institute for Catholic Education (ICE).

Mission
The Association is the voice of French-language Catholic school boards and promotes the importance of Catholic education in Ontario.

Vision
Through its leadership, AFOCSC promotes the growth and vitality of the French-language Catholic education system in Ontario.
