Who we are

Created in 1998, the Association franco-ontarienne des conseils scolaires catholiques (AFOCSC) is a non-profit organization. Serving its members, AFOCSC is the voice of the eight French-language Catholic school boards in Ontario and reinforces the importance of Catholic education to the community and governments by promoting excellence and the development of each student..

Counsellor Training

AFOCSC, along with the Ontario Education Services Corporation (OESC) and its partner organizations, has developed a series of professional development modules and programs to strengthen board governance. The training helps trustees understand the roles and responsibilities of the school board, its elected members and the director of education.

Negotiations and Dispute Resolution

With the considerable support of its members, AFOCSC negotiates working conditions that ensure a quality Catholic Francophone education for its students and positive working relationships for staff and with the various unions.
